SKODA Octavia - Exterior

​Bi-Xenon headlamps offer better illumination and enhanced styling than standard headlamps. They come with an automatic dynamic levelling function that adapts to any driving condition. The LED daytime running lamps enhance safety by improving the Octavia's visibility for other road users and also add to the styling of the SKODA Octavia.

​The chrome surround radiator grille with its vertical slats forms the centre of the SKODA Octavia. Its slight curve makes the outer shape more dynamic and the chrome strip surrounding the grille adds an elegant and distinctive finish.

​The new SKODA logo has been placed prominently on the bonnet - the "premium location," as designers call it. The logo represents ultimate precision and clarity: it shows the finely detailed finned arrow in chrome on matte-black background, surrounded by a fine chrome line.

The electrically foldable external mirrors of the car can be folded in at the touch of a button, or also programmed to automatically fold in when the car is locked, to avoid damage. Personalized mirror positions can be stored and activated thanks to the programmable seat memory.

When the reverse gear is engaged, the passenger side external mirror automatically tilts downwards to help the driver view the ground near the rear wheel and check for any obstructions before reversing. The mirror automatically moves back to its original position once the reverse gear is disengaged.

Turn indicators in external mirrors

​The turn indicators are incorporated into the housing of the external mirrors. These improve visibility for other drivers on the road, thereby enhancing safety along with style.

Tornado Line

The sharp Tornado line emphasises the powerful appearance of the Octavia, stretching the car visually and emphasises its coupe-like silhouette. Sharp lines mark changeovers in the surface areas, creating another reference to crystalline design. The line required for this effect runs from the front of the vehicle all the way to the back and ends in the reflector element of the rear bumper.

Window Line

A new, distinctive feature of the SKODA Octavia is the upswept dynamic window line in the rear doors: a so-called 'fin'. Its effective design enables a sharply drawn side window graphic. Jozef Kabaň (Head of Design, SKODA AUTO a.s.) says: "This certain something extra provides the car with additional dynamism and ensures that the Octavia is unmistakably distinctive, even from the side".

Retractable screen for rear windscreen

​​The retractable screen for the rear windscreen protects the rear occupants from the sunrays. By reducing sunlight entering the car from the rear windscreen, it enables faster cooling and a more comfortable temperature in the rear passenger area.

Boarding Spot Lamps

The SKODA Octavia's boarding spot lamps light up when opening the door or unlocking the car with remote control, illuminating the ground just below and around the door. This makes it easy for passengers to enter or exit the vehicle in the dark and helps to avoid puddles or stones in unlit places.

Light Assistant - Coming home and leaving home lights

The Light Assistant in the SKODA Octavia offers two simple yet very practical convenience functions that activate in low light conditions:
1.Leaving Home Lights: The car's lights turn on as soon as it is unlocked with the remote locking key, thereby making it easier to locate the Octavia and also illuminating the area around the car.

2. Coming Home Lights: After locking the car, the lights stay on for a set period of time to illuminate your path home.

Automatic Rain-Sensing Wipers

The SKODA Octavia comes with a built-in rain sensor that automatically activates the front aero-wipers and also adjusts their speed based on the intensity of the rain and the speed of the car. It sets the driver free from manually operating the wipers, and thus the driver can focus on the drive and enjoy the experience.

​The SKODA Octavia comes equipped with 2 new alloy wheels. The Velorum (16) alloy wheel is available on Active variant and the Minoris (16) alloy wheel is available on Ambition and Elegance variants.

Crystalline highlights

​The rear view of the SKODA Octavia embodies precision, value and perfect proportions. The two highlights on the left and right sides of the boot lid are detailed with precise lines. They connect the tail-light clusters with the boot lid.

Rear View Tail lamps

For the first time, Octavia's tail light cluster comes with a distinctive C-shaped lighting contour. The 'cat eyes' reflector on the rear bumper runs dynamically from the side of the vehicle into the rear area.
