The interior of the SKODA Octavia is an amalgam of contemporary design and high quality materials.
The SKODA Octavia comes equipped with an interior chrome package that includes a chrome trim on the steering wheel, gear lever console and chrome interior door handles.
The multifunctional steering wheel is a unique combination of attractive design and modern technology. It has built in audio and telephone controls so that the driver never has to take his hands off the wheel in order to change the song, radio station or even to make and receive calls.
The fully automatic Climatronic air conditioning system maintains an even temperature inside the car by automatically adjusting air temperature, direction and volume based on data from sensors monitoring cabin temperature as well as sunlight intensity. The dual-zone system allows the driver and co-passenger to individually set different temperatures for their own personal comfort.

The SKODA Octavia comes equipped with adjustable rear air-conditioning vents on the rear centre console. This ensures that passengers seated in the rear are comfortable at all times.
The Octavia is the only car in its segment with a panoramic sunroof which is larger than a conventional one. The Octavia's sunroof is made of tinted glass to ensure lower light and heat transmission to the cabin, and can be operated by a convenient dial to slide it open either in stages or completely. The sunroof can also be tipped open upwards for ventilation. When open, an integrated wind deflector automatically extends to reduce wind noise in the cabin. The bounce-back system prevents the sunroof from closing if an obstruction is detected, thereby enhancing safety.
Plush leather upholstery combined with panels in a dark wood finish and lots of legroom make the SKODA Octavia’s cabin a sublime combination of luxury and space.
The 12 way electrically adjustable driver's seat has three memory buttons that can store three different seat positions along with corresponding external rear view mirror settings. So the next time you drive, you just have to press the memory button with your preferences stored and watch the seat and external mirrors move to their pre-set positions.
The SKODA Octavia has a fully-loaded infotainment system with a 5.8 TFT colour touch screen display. Apart from the in-built MP3 CD player and radio, passengers can also play music from a host of other sources - Bluetooth streaming, USB drive, iPod, SD/MMC card or Aux-in Crisp sound is channelled evenly throughout the cabin from eight well-balanced speakers.
The spot lamps in the interior of the SKODA Octavia provide a soft and relaxing glow that is just bright enough for easy reading.
The cruise control system maintains a constant speed once it has been set and allows the driver to remove their foot from the accelerator pedal. It reduces driver fatigue over long journeys and also helps to deliver constant fuel economy on open roads.
The SKODA Octavia's rear seat is equipped with a fold-away centre armrest that has adjustable cup holders and a storage space. It also provides an easy access to the boot from inside the cabin.
The Jumbo Box, ergonomically located below the driver's arm rest, provides ample storage space for the occupants to store their phones, wallets, important papers, etc.
A clever compartment hidden away under the front passenger seat is perfect for storing mid-sized items that need to be stowed away from sight.
The SKODA Octavia has lots of 'Simply Clever' storage spaces inside the car. The glove box in the lower part of the dashboard is air conditioned, so the occupants don't just have a place to store their refreshments but also have a place to keep it fresh. It is also equipped with alamp that automatically activates when opened, to illuminate the contents of the glove box.
The SKODA Octavia boasts of the biggest-in-class luggage compartment with a volume of 590 litres that expands to 1,580 litres with the rear seats folded down. The Octavia is also equipped with a large tailgate that lifts up the rear window along with the boot lid, thereby making handling of bulky luggage exceptionally easy. Removable rear parcel shelf can be conveniently stored behind the seats.
The DSG gearbox is equipped with a dual-clutch system that makes lightning fast gear changes possible, resulting in a smoother drive and better fuel economy as compared to conventional automatics. The Tiptronic function allows the driver to take charge of gear changes and operate the automatic Octavia like a sequential manual transmission. The driver can choose from two modes – Drive mode makes earlier gear changes to optimize fuel efficiency while Sport mode offers the thrill of stretching the engine’s performance in each gear. The six-speed manual transmission offered on the SKODA Octavia offers smooth effortless gear shifts, high fuel efficiency and more control for the driver.
The SKODA Octavia comes with two options of third generation petrol engines designed exclusively for the new MQB platform - a 4 cylinder 1.4 TSI/103kW engine and an incredibly powerful 1.8 TSI/132kW petrol engine. These engines not only reduce the overall weight of the car and lower its fuel consumption, but are also friendlier to the environment with reduced CO2 emissions.
The 2.0 TDI/105kW diesel engine is a completely new engine belonging to the new MQB engine family. It has a higher power output and is more refined, low on fuel consumption and has much lower emissions of harmful gases.
